Rob Hunter is the founder and owner of Ballard School of the Performing Arts. He is a singer and has performed in many venues in various states across the country. One of Rob’s most memorable performances was when he had the pleasure of performing with the Joan Hammel Band for our troops at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. “What an experience,” Rob said.
At Ballard Street, Rob is known as the motivator: he teaches beginning voice and guitar. Rob motivates his students to develop a love for music and their instrument. Introducing music of all types and styles to our children is Rob’s quest!
Meet JEREMY PARKER. Jeremy has played drumset and concert percussion for 36 years. He has been teaching drumset, concert snare, and marimba for 26 years, over six of those at Ballard School of Performing Arts, and also teaches marching percussion/drumline. He begins with the basics and watches the student’s personal style develop, all the while using safe mechanics. Jeremy then introduces students to playing and appreciating many genres of music and he strongly encourages artistry. His students also learn to read sheet music, composition, and how to decipher charts. He has taught students ranging from 5 years to 60+. If you have a love for rhythm, we would be happy to have you as a student.
Jeremy’s favorite music quote is, “Make a joyful noise to the Lord” ~ Psalm 100:1
